ZWO Kick-off Workshop
This is a 3-4 day workshop designed to identify and prioritize opportunities to make your operation leaner and greener. We map your most mission critical value stream to identify both operational and environmental wastes, and educate your team on techniques to reduce these wastes. We create a future state map that identifies measureable improvements realized from implementing these techniques and a prioritized implementation plan with financial justification. We also identify management system elements to define leader’s roles in driving and sustaining process improvements.
Kaizen Event Facilitation
Kaizen events are essential for rapid realization of the future state value stream, one process at a time. The project plan created in the kick-off week prioritizes kaizen events to assure we rapidly improve the health of the entire value stream (i.e. eliminating major bottlenecks, quality problems, sources of high energy consumption or pollution) We subscribe to Toyota’s “inch wide and mile deep” approach to future state implementation: we concentrate on one process at a time and simultaneously implement the waste reducing techniques and management system elements required to sustain and continuously improve this process.
Continuous Improvement Cultural Development
A true measure of a world-class culture is what happens between kaizen events. We help align operational metrics and improvement goals with the company’s strategic objectives. We then develop front-line leaders to work with their employees to conduct daily problem solving to systematically eliminate wasteful obstacles to achieving these goals. These teams eventually define and conduct their own kaizen events when major changes have been identified. We will recommend organizational improvements to assure front-line leaders are aligned with value added processes and have the skills to improve them.
